DOROTHY F. SOUTHWORTH, of Hackensack, died on Sunday, September 16, 2007, at the age of 86 years. Born in New York City, Dorothy lived in the Bronx, coming to Hackensack 35 years ago. Prior to retiring she was an administrative assistant for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company of New York where she worked for 42 years. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church of Hackensack, where she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Leisure Club. She also was a member of the AARP Chapter 14 of Hackensack. Predeceased by her parents, the late Malcolm and Deborah Southworth, she is survived by her niece, Patricia Start of East Rockaway, NY, and two nephews, Frank Shanagan of East Rockaway, NY, and Joe Shanagan of Asbury, NJ and her dearest friend, Nanette Shields of Hackensack.. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, April 19th, at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, at 11:00 AM with burial following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. ,
