Obituary of Vincent M. Luther

Vincent M. Luther "Big Vin", passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Born in Teaneck, he lived in Hackensack, Toms River and Manahawkin where he was waiting for his retirement home to be built in Barnegat when he became ill in April. Prior to retiring he owned Frank Devlin Associates of Rochelle Park for 30 years building banks throughout the state. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army being honorably discharged as a Disabled American Veteran. He was Past Commander of V.F.W. Maywood Memorial Post # 7408 and was a parishioner at Holy Trinity R. C. Church of Hackensack. Beloved husband for 46 years of Doreen M. (nee Carey). Devoted father of Vincent Luther Jr. and his wife Danielle of Bethpage, NY, James Luther and his wife Jamie of Franklin Lakes, and Keri Perrone and her husband Enrico of Madison. Cherished grandfather of Chase, Brielle, Alexa and Jada. Loving brother of Walter Luther Jr. and his wife Judith Ann of Missouri and Bruce Luther of Florida. The funeral on Wednesday, August 30th, at 9:00 AM, from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. The family prefers that you honor his memory with a memorial donation to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Trust (cst.dav.org) 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Kentucky 41076.
