Obituary of Barbara G. Colgan

BARBARA G. DONOHUE COLGAN of East Rutherford, died Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the age of 74 years. Prior to retiring she had worked for the State of New Jersey Unemployment Department as a claims representative for many years. She was a parishioner of Church of the Assumption, Wood Ridge and a member of their Rosary Society. Beloved wife of the late Brian C. Colgan Sr. who passed away in 2008. Cherished mother of Elizabeth Garcia and her husband Joe of East Rutherford and the late Brian C. Colgan Jr. who passed away in 2016. Devoted grandmother to Gisella Garcia. Dearest sister to the late Geraldine Donohue and Bill Donohue. The funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, August 31, at 8:30 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM at Church of the Assumption, 143 1st Street, Wood Ridge, NJ 07075. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM for visitation.
