Obituary of Gustavo B. Zambrano

GUSTAVO B. ZAMBRANO, of Maywood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the age of 90 years. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador he came to this country in 1960 settling in New York City and lived in Maywood for 40 years. Prior to retiring, he was a chemist for Caloric Color of South Hackensack, where he worked for 35 years. He was an avid Yankee fan and loved his Ecuadorian Soccer Team. Beloved husband for 66 years of Nicida V. (nee Pena). Devoted father of Gustavo D. Zambrano and his wife Evelyn of Middletown, NY and Silvana G. Zambrano of Maywood. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Mejia, Jason Mejia, Jasmine Suarez, Tamika Zambrano, Kristy Zambrano, Daniel Zambrano, and Jovan Zambrano. Adored great grandfather of Christopher and Angelic. He was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. He is also survived by his extremely caring and attentive Dr. Morey Menacker of Hackensack University Medical Center. The funeral on Friday, September 8th, at 9:45 AM, from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 12 Terrace Avenue, Rochelle Park with entombment following at Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Washington Township. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 – 9 PM.
