Obituary of John C. Rattacasa

JOHN C. RATTACASA, of Glassboro, formerly of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017, at the age of 65 years. Prior to retiring he was the Transportation Coordinator for the Bergen County Office of Aging . He was Past President of the Bergen County Young Republicans, served as a Congressional aide to Rep. "Cappy" Hollenbeck, and was a NJ State Ombudsmen and Majority Whip. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War being honorably discharged from the United States Navy. Beloved husband for 24 years to Tammy M. (nee Weiss). Devoted father of John M. Rattacasa and Gregory M. Rattacasa. Dearest brother of JoAnn Gurrisi and her husband Charles, Michael Rattacasa, and Judy Rattacasa. Cherished godfather to his nephew Michael M. Rattacasa and also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. The funeral on Thursday, October 5th, at 9:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 - 9 PM.
