Obituary of Clare F. Kearns

CLARE F. DOYNE KEARNS, of Elmwood Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at the age of 73 years. Born in Dublin, Ireland she came to this country in 1964, settling in Hackensack and lived in Elmwood Park for 13 years. She was a charter member of the Bergen Irish Association and was an Irish Dancer for Lily Comerford. She was a parishioner at St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. Beloved wife for 51 years of Michael V. Kearns. Devoted mother of Maureen Kane and her husband Kevin of Paramus and Michelle Peplowski and her husband Richard of Ringwood. Special mother to Tanisha Diaz of Maywood. Cherished grandmother of Jaclyn, Bryan, Julia and Braydon. The funeral on Friday, December 29th, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C.Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with entombment following at Garden of Memories in Washington Township. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. The family prefers, that in lieu of flowers, you honor her memory with memorial donation to the St. Joseph's School for the Blind, 761 Summit Avenue, Jersey City 07307.
