Obituary of Louise M. Durand

LOUISE M. DURAND, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at her home, with family at her side, at the age of 87 years. Born on February 4, 1930 in New York, she lived in Teaneck and had lived in Hackensack for 70 years. Prior to retiring she worked fur American Tobacco at their headquarters in New York City for over 40 years. She was a parishioner at Holy Trinity R. C. Church of Hackensack. Louise loved to take advantage of everything the city had to offer-especially the theater. An avid golfer, she enjoyed playing different courses to sharpen her game. Taking long rides with her sister Pauline, Louise never lost her love of seeing new places. With strong family ties in Montreal, trips there became a favorite destination. Friends and family enjoyed her sense of humor and quick wit. Dearest sister of Robert Durand of Emerson and the late Pauline Kilgallen. Loving aunt of Terry, Kathleen, Christine, Brian, Robert, Dennis, Gerald, Sheila, Eileen, and the late Ronald. The funeral on Saturday, January 6th, at 8:30 AM, from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 - 8 PM.
