Sincere sympathy to Mary Ellen's family. My mother, Anna Neville Killeen, was a first cousin to her father John I knew the family when they lived in Brooklyn as we lived close by. I admire the wonderful life she lived and I'm sure she will be deeply missed. My love to the family.

This is a beautiful obituary for a beautiful person! My mom, Ellen Dillon Leahy was Mary Ellen’s cousin & was always very fond of her. Although we haven’t seen Mary Ellen in quite a few yrs the Neville family is thought of often. The Dillon family has great memories of Rileyville, Pa at the Neville home thanks to Helen & Jack!

My father's sister and my dearest of Aunt's was my confidant that help me navigate life's challenges and navigate family dynamics. She was intelligent, adventuresome, and had a love of art and culture. She was an inspiration my entire life. She truly was my auntie Mame. One of my first experiences feeling like I was a special nephew was when she came to California when I was 10 years old . She had picked me up at my family's home and took me down Sunset Boulevard in her rented red convertible 1966 Mustang! Wow, I thought I had a groovey Aunt! We had adventures that took us to San Miguel de Allende and Guadalajara to visit her cousin Howard Dillon and wife Clementine. I would frequently see her in the San Francisco Bay area where she took temporary residence and we would drive down the coast of Big Sur and Carmel highway1 to southern California. And later in life, I would visit her and cousins several times in Boca Raton. My last visit to Florida was in 2009, but we always were in touch over the phone. Much earlier in the late 1960's through 80's joined with her children in Long Island they would welcome me to their homes for my first White Christmas and to visit my grandparents. All of my cousin's were so gracious to share the New York experience with me and their love of theater. Thank you for the great adventures you all have been apart of and shared with me.
