Obituary of Walter R. Hickey

WALTER R. HICKEY, 85, of Hackensack, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Prior to retiring he was a Business Manager for American Baptist Church of New Jersey and a Business Manager at Luther College in Teaneck. He was a veteran of the United States Army proudly serving from 1955 - 1957. He was a member of the Second Reformed Church of Hackensack. Beloved husband of Barbara C. (nee Cook). Loving father of Nancy Tanis and her husband the late Reverend Fred Tanis Jr., Gary Hickey and his wife Shirine and Paul Hickey and his fiancée Linda Musto. Cherished grandfather of Andrew Tanis and his wife Laura, Peter Tanis and his wife Janine, Michelle, Elissa, Kathryn and Ian Hickey and great grandfather of Madeleine and Isabelle Tanis. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 13th at 11:00 AM at the Second Reformed Church of Hackensack, 436 Union St, Hackensack, NJ. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
