Obituary of Walter J. Sroka

WALTER J. SROKA, of Garfield, formerly of Rutherford, died on Thursday, May 15, 2008, at he Maywood Center for Health and Rehabilatation, at the age of 83 years. Prior to retiring in 1993, he was a maintenance engineer for the Meadowlands Hilton of Secaucus. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Francis of Assisi Council # 4524 of East Rutherford. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Fleming). Devoted father of Timothy Sroka and his wife Geralyn. Cherished grandfather of Kate Elizabeth Sroka. Dearest brother of seven brothers and three sisters who predeceased him. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 19th, at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, at 10:00 AM with burial following at St. Michael's Cemetery in South Hackensack. Visiting will be on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
