Obituary of Felix M. Hernandez

Felix M. Hernandez, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Hackensack University Medical Center, at the age of 77 years. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he came to this country in 1963 settling in New York City and later lived in West New York and Hackensack  Prior to retiring he worked at Hackensack University Medical Center, however he was a musician at heart. He enjoyed singing an playing the accordion, drums and the guira. Beloved husband of Ramona E. (nee Santos), for 52 years. Devoted father of Jackie Fazio and her husband James of Middletown, Felix A. Hernandez and his wife Sheree of Bloomfield and Denise Hernandez and her husband Chris Jackson of New York City. Cherished grandfather of Ayana, Olivia, Sanjay and Aliyah. Dearest brother of Lucila, Maria, Carmen, and Antonia. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 11th, at 11:00 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with burial following at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 – 9 PM.
