Obituary of Lillian Miello

MIELLO, LILLIAN C. (nee Candrilli), passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018, at the age of 96 years old, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hackensack to Annetta and Rosario Candrilli. She lived the majority of her early and later life in Hackensack and also resided in River Edge for 28 years. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Peter the Apostle Church in River Edge. Beloved wife of the late Anthony M. Miello (2004) for 63 years, the true love of her life. Devoted mother of son Michael A. Miello and his wife Diane, daughters Mary Biunno and husband Vincent, Annette Miello and Tony Miello. Cherished grandmother of Dawn Williams and husband Shawn, Denise Kelly and husband Kevin, Daria Valenzano and Husband Jeff, Vincent Biunno and wife Michelle. Loving Great grandmother (GG) to Patrick and Anna Williams, Michael and Julia Kelly, Lilly and Dominic Valenzano, and the late Peyton Kelly. Pre deceased by three sisters and three brothers, and their spouses, Angelina Trobiano (Frank), Rosie Romano (Sal), Josephine Scavone (Michael), Salvatore Candrilli (Grace), Jules Candrilli (Rose) and Charles Candrilli. Sister in law to the late Kay and Lou DeRosa, Charles and Irene Miello and Josephine Miello. She is survived by sister in law Betty Candrilli, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved and adored. She devoted her life to her family and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Lillian was an avid sports fan never missing a game her son played or coached. Saturday and Sunday meals were scheduled around college and pro football games. Lillian worked in the Hackensack school system as a teacher's Aide for many years. Her students and fellow co-workers loved and adored her. The Funeral will start on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street , Hackensack , NJ . The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Church , 445 Fifth Avenue , River Edge, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus . The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 - 9PM for visitation at the funeral home.
