Obituary of Angelina R Carollo

Angelina R. Carollo (nee Ponzo), of Hackensack, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the age of 87 years. Born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, she came to this country in 1950 settling in Fairview and lived in Hackensack for 65 years. Prior to retiring, she worked with environmental services at Hackensack University Medical Center. She was a parishioner at St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late Angelo Carollo who died in 2001. Devoted mother of Frank Carollo and his wife Anna Maria of Hackensack, Vincent Carollo and his wife Maria Giuseppina of South Hackensack, Laura Carollo of Hackensack, and Antoinette Salas and her husband Alex of Hackensack. Loving grandmother of Angelica and her husband Jason, ,Antoinette and her husband Anthony, Angelo and his wife Karla, Angelo Vincenzo and hisa wife Gina, Melissa, Danielle, Andrew, Alexander, Angelo C., Argel, Arlee, Airian, Ashley and April. Cherished great grandmother of Arianna, Franco, Luciano, Alexis, Adrianna and Alonzo. She was also predeceased by two brothers and a sister. The funeral on Wednesday, November 28th, at 9:45 AM, from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with entombment following at Garden of Memories in Washington Township. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 - 8 PM.
