Bertha R. Carbone Bertha R. Carbone (nee Zisa), a lifelong resident of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the age of 90 years. Prior to retiring, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Valley Nursing Home in Westwood. Beloved wife of the late Rocco Carbone who died in 1974. Devoted mother of Rocco Carbone and his wife Lori of Mahwah. Cherished grandmother of Michael and Rosalie. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph Zisa and his wife Lucy (nee De Lorenzo). Dearest sister of Patricia Johnson and her husband Richard of Hackensack. Adored godmother of Pamela Hofmann and Christopher Johnson. Dear aunt of Eric and Brandon. Special cousin of Rick De Lorenzo and his wife Maryanne. The Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, January 5th, at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack. Burial will be private. The family prefers that you honor her memory with a memorial donation to St. Jude Children's Research Center, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
