Obituary of August J. Nagy

August "Gus" J. Nagy, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at the age of 76 years. Prior to retiring, he was a time clock mechanic for Metro Time Clock Company of Queens, New York. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy aboard the USS Sterlet Submarine during the Vietnam War from which he was honorably discharged. Gus was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis de Sales R. C. Church of Lodi. He was a member of the Hackensack Troast A. C. He was an amateur photographer who especially enjoyed florals and nature scenery. Beloved husband for 46 years of Cathy (nee Gritmon). Devoted father of Christina Nagy of Mantua, and Diana Nagy and her husband Paul Diana of Ramsey. Cherished grandfather of Emily. Dearest brother of Charles Nagy and his wife Joan of Sussex. Loving Uncle of Susan Lemenille and her husband Kenneth of Pennsylvania. The funeral on Monday, February 4th, at 10 AM, from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales R. C. Church, 125 Union Street, Lodi with burial following at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 -6 PM.
