Alejandro R. Lepeley, well known as Alex, of Bradenton, FL, and formerly of Teaneck, NJ, passed away at the age of 77 on Monday, October 7, 2019, with his wife by his side. He was the loving husband of Olga (Capo) Lepeley with whom he shared 48 loving years of marriage, and they had 3 marvelous children together. Born in Santiago, Chile, he was the son of the late Alejandro Lepeley and Ines (Valdes) Lepeley. Alex studied Architectural Design at the University of Santiago before moving to the United States in 1969. He worked for several different architectural companies throughout is career, most notably, John Evans Architect, Bellmeade, and DMR Architects until his retirement in 2011. He was a faithful parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack, NJ for over 40 years, where he devoted his time to the Hispanic community and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Alex enjoyed his pastimes of travelling, dining and entertainment with friends and family, late night card games and dominoes, telling his "corny" jokes, reading the newspaper, and lazy days at many of the Gulf of Mexico beaches that he had cherished the most. Alex is predeceased by his parents, his son Alejandro "Janito" and his daughter Jessica. He leaves his wife Olga of Bradenton, FL, his daughter Lorena (Lepeley) Lebron and her husband Randy of Berlin, CT, and his only grandchildren Matea and Diego Lebron. He is survived by his four sisters, Nellie Remenick, Kerima Olave and her husband Lizardo, all of Santiago, Chile, Ines Lechuga and her husband Jose of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and Monica Carenza of Parrish, FL. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, and their spouses and children throughout NJ, NY, FL, and Chile. A special thank you to his dearest friends and family who selflessly devoted countless hours at the hospital and rehab to ensure that Alex was in good care, and that his wife was never alone. Your love and compassion did not go unnoticed. Alex was a humble and caring man who will be dearly missed by many.
