Obituary of Vincenzo Martino

MARTINO, VINCENZO, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Prior to retiring, he had worked as a Carpenter for local #253, before joining his wife Concetta in running her business Martino's Deli and Restaurant in Hackensack for many years. Mr. Martino was an honoree member of The Italian American Police Association of New Jersey, the founder of Maria Santissima Delle Grazie di Alia (provincia) Palermo of Hackensack, a dedicated member of the EROC'S F.O.P. Lodge # 119 of New Jersey and a parishioner of St. Francis R.C Church in Hackensack. Beloved husband of Concetta (Nee Trumello) for 64 loving years. Loving father of Salvatore Martino and his wife Joanne of Mount Arlington, Gioacchina Martino of Phoenix, AZ, Concetta Martino of Hackensack and Calogera Nicastro and her husband Mario of Hackensack. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Dearest brother of Rosa Martorana of Bagheria Sicily, Maria Lanuto of South Hackensack, Teresa Savino and her husband Cono of South Hackensack and the late Brother Giulio Martino and his wife Maria Raia martino of Ramsey, brother in law to Maria Trumello and her husband Biagio Radici of Messina, Italy and Luigia Trumello of Alia (provincia) Palermo. Vincenzo is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous close friends. Entombment will be private. Arrangements conducted by G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. In lieu of flowers The Martino family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Vincenzo to St. Francis R.C.
