VELEZ, CARMELO of Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2020 at the age of 71 years. Prior to retiring, he had worked as a Communications Supervisor for Nynex Telephone Company in Bronx, NY for 26 years. He was a dedicated member of Santa Maria Parish in Bronx, NY. Beloved husband of Brunilda (Nee Crespo) for 47 years. Devoted son of Roberto Velez and the late Milagros Velez (nee Fernandez). Loving father of Benjamin Velez of Yorktown Heights, NY, and Ivelise Velez and her fiancé Carlos Torres of Hackensack, NJ. Loving grandfather of Teresa Cardoza, Gabriella Cardoza, Benjamin C. Velez, and Adam V. Velez. Dearest brother of Lillian Velez, Lourdes Morales, Ana Hall, Mary Velez, Alfredo Velez, and the late Roberto Velez II. Carmelo also leaves behind his many loving nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
