I will always remember Carolyn, her wonderful smile, her loving heart and the kind words she had for everyone. She was a cheerful, generous teacher's aide who gave her time and love to all the children. I will never forget her.

I offer my deepest condolences to the Hubbard Family. Mrs. Hubbard, you will be greatly missed. I still remember working with you at Parker School when I was a substitute. Another enjoyable memory was when we went out to have lunch together. These memories are so precious. I will cherish them for the rest of my life. Continue to R.I.P. Mrs. Hubbard.
Love,
DoraMae Davis

Carolyn was my friend for 25 years and was one of the most caring, loving, people you could ever meet. I loved boxer dogs and Carolyn knew that and through the years got me so many themed gifts. I will miss you my friend, but will think of you warmly every time I turn on my boxer lamp, sit on my chair with the boxer throw, put on my boxer charm bracelet, or my boxer themed jacket. Such a good person that was taken way too soon but will always live in my heart.

Carolyn and i have been neighbors and friends for the past fifty years. She was my very best friend, We did everything together. She came everywhere with me, She even came to my doctors appointments with me. We got annoyed with each other at times but we got over it fast. We went to our senior meetings together every week and we always enjoyed each other’s company, Carolyn always said we are family, I am going to miss her so much, what am I going to do without you, I love you so very much and I am going to miss you. Until we meet again you will always be in my prayers. Love You, Barbara

My deepest sympathies to Carolyn's family. She was a very special person. Carolyn was the aide to my son's tutor in elementary school and was always sweet and kind and very patient. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Carolyn will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are so very sorry to hear of Carolyn’s passing.
We loved living across the street from Carolyn when were in NJ. My boys would love walking to her house to see all of the fun seasonal decorations she put out on the lawn. She was like our neighborhood mom, always looking out for everyone and making sure our neighborhood was spotless. She often came over and we sat on my porch and talked. She was so down to earth and kind and her presence was calming to me. She had twins too and we bonded over that and she often consoled me, especially when she saw that my boys were “a handful.” Sometimes she would stay on my porch with my children and watch them while I ran in the house to finish dinner or get a few things done. She always gave the boys thoughtful gifts, many of which we still have and cherish. Even when we moved out of state, she would think of us and mail the boys a little something. She had a love for animals and owls and my son Jack now loves owls too. Carolyn had such a gentle smile and was always generous and humorous. She called me (and probably everyone) “honey” and I loved that about her. She also loved to try new things and travel, including her senior bus trips. I loved that about her too. Each year, we would have a neighborhood yard sale and she would always come by to help and of course bring her smile and humor. One year, she even dressed in her cow costume. I have a recent voicemail from her. She called me with such sincere excitement to tell me how much she loved the book I wrote, “Hello Washcloth.” She was so proud. It meant so much coming from her - an educator and mentor. Carolyn always wore a beautiful flower in her hair. A perfect symbol of how light hearted and young at heart she was. In the picture shown, she is wearing a flower I got for her while I was in Hawaii back in 2012. It’s said that giving a lei is a great way to show friendship, love or to celebrate or honor someone. I will forever honor our friendship and I, and surely everyone else who knew her, will always celebrate her loving, generous and gentle spirit. We love you Carolyn and will miss you!

Nancy, Sean, and Richard,
We were very saddened to hear the news of Penny and Carolyn. Your mother was a special neighbor who adored my boys and continued to check in even after we moved. We will miss her even more now and will keep you in our prayers.

Until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Rest In Peace, dear friend.
Your mother blessed the entire community with her kindness. We pray that you’ll find comfort in your memories of her and in the knowledge that we are missing her, too.
