Obituary of Maria C Luna

Maria C. Luna, formerly of Hackensack, and of Cedar Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 at the age of 80 years. Maria was born in Sabana del Puerto, Bonao, Dominica Republic to Jesus Fernandez and Basilicia Abreu. She later migrated in 1965 to the United States where she settled in Hackensack, NJ. Prior to retiring, she work as a glass painter for over 40 years for Sera Graphic Industries, Hackensack. Beloved mother of Fransisco Taveras, Elizabeth Taveras and Randy Taveras. Loving Grandmother of three grandchildren. The funeral will begin on Tuesday, June 8th, at 9:00 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:15 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM for visitation.
