Obituary of Sean M Foley

Sean Michael Foley passed away peacefully on Saturday June 26, 2021, surrounded by his family. Son of the late Joseph & Cecilia. Beloved brother of Mary, Glenn (Eileen), Joseph, Kieran (Mariella) and Christopher. Loving uncle of Sam (Merisa), Kim (Chris), Erin, Matthew (Stephanie), Colin and Dillon…and the 'greatest' great uncle to Jameson and Cameron. He was a proud member and past Shop Steward of Local #464 and a butcher at Shop Rite for almost 40 years. His love of music led to a side passion as a DJ for almost 35 years. Sean was also a past member and officer of the Elks. Sean was a life-long Mets fan and always enjoyed a good debate on the evils of their cross town rivals…the STANKees!! No Met was 'too good' and no Stankee was 'too evil'. Sean had a gift of bringing joy and laughter to all who came in contact with him and he made everyone feel special. You knew he would not forget an anniversary, birthday or other special occasion. Sean will be deeply missed by all. The Funeral will begin on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 8:45 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 30th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation.
