Obituary of Lucy C. Scanapieco

Lucy Scanapieco (nee Plati). of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the age of 90 years. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late Vincent M. Scanapieco (2006). Devoted mother of two daughters, Patricia Ariza and her husband Jose of Hopatcong and Linda Visaggio and her husband Mario of Wharton, her son Vincent Scanapieco and his wife Rosa of South Hackensack, her grandchildren, Bryan, Matthew, Jeff, Eric, Andrew, Jennifer and the late Gianene. Great-grand mother of Abigail and Sage. Dearest sister of Fred Plati and his wife Sadie, Lucy is predeceased by five sisters and two brothers, she also leaves behind numerous loving nieces and nephews. The Funeral will begin on Thursday September 2, 2021, at 9:30 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack at 11:00 AM. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 PM for visitation.
