Margarita Lopez, of Hackensack passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 11, 2021. Margarita was 95 years old. Margarita was born in Masaya, Nicaragua to Horacio Lopez and Justa Pastora Navarro. Beloved mother of Gloria Mendoza, Myrna Leiva and Vilma Corea. Cherished grandmother of Charlie Ryan, Victor Castro, Margarita Castro, Vilma Alicia Valladares, Deney Castro, Eduardo Castro, Alejandra Arroyo and Elizabeth Alcivar. Loving great grandmother of Joshua, Jaselyn, Fabian, Luis, Justyn, Adrian, Alysha, Alexander, Arianna, Ethan, Alissa, Jonah, Vanessa, Jayla , Isabella, Jonathan, Mason, Sebastian, Mia, David, and Elias. Adoring great, great grandmother of Noah Arroyo. The funeral will begin on Wednesday, September 15, at 9:15 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack with burial following at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 9:00 PM for visitation.
