Obituary of John P. Herbeck

John Peter Herbeck Jr., 80, of South Hackensack, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 18th 2021. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1959 – 1962. Prior to retiring John owned and operated with his family Robin Pet Shop in Hackensack for 34 years. He was also a crossing guard for the City of Hackensack for 15 years. Beloved wife of Vera A. (nee Miliano) for 58 years. Loving father of Mary Ann Di Stasi and her husband Charles, Laura A. Brookshire and her husband Brian and John P. Herbeck III and his wife Amy. Cherished grandfather of Eric, Emily, Luke, Kyle, Josh, Brett, Corissa, Ben, Jessica and Emma. Dearest brother of Kenneth Herbeck and his wife Diane, Leslie Mansueto and the late Lillian Herbeck and Nancy Stoft. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ from 2:00 – 6:00 PM.
