Albena C. Laignelet (nee Freay) 59, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Friday November 26, 2021 with her children by her side. She worked for the Bergen County Sheriff Department in Hackensack, as a Court Security Officer. She was a parishioner of The Church of St. Anthony of Padua, Hackensack. Loving mother of Joanne S. Arango and her husband Freddie and Jarnells Laignelet. Devoted daughter of Ciro and Velma Freay. Cherished grandmother to Eli and Chloe. Dearest sister of Jorge Freay and the late Luiba De La Ossa. The Funeral will begin from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, on Saturday, December 4th, at 8:45 AM. The Mass of Requiem will be held at The Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 72 Lodi Street, Hackensack at 10:00 AM, with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 – 9:00 PM for visitation.
