Obituary of Sophie Czarnecki

Sophie Czarnecki (nee Pichowicz), 93, long-time resident of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Mother's Day, May 8, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Edward T. Czarnecki (1984). Loving mother of Jane Czarnecki-Wemp, Pat Czarnecki, Carol Czarnecki, and the late John Czarnecki. Sophie is also survived by her dear sister Frances Berwecky, and several grandchildren. The Funeral will begin from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, on Thursday, May 12, at 8:45 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 460 Hudson Street, Hackensack. Cremation will follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
