Obituary of Giuseppa Zito

Giuseppa Zito, 84, of South Hackensack, NJ, sadly passed away on June 12, 2022. Giuseppa, lovingly known as Pina, was born on February 10, 1938, to Ninfa Zito and Salvatore Zito in Palermo, Sicily. She was the beloved wife of Domenico Faraone, who passed away in 2001, and she missed him dearly every single day. She was the eldest sister to 6 siblings, late Santo Zito, and is survived by, John Zito, Vincent Zito, Maria Davi, Vittorio Zito, and Riccardo Zito. She was a loving sister-in-law and is survived by Maria Rosa Zito, Cesarina Zito, Francesca Zito, Frank Davi and Rosa Zito. Giuseppa adored her seventeen nieces and nephews and their spouses and twenty-nine grandnieces and grandnephews, who loved her dearly. She spent her time surrounded by family and had a passion for cooking. She could have been found on any given day with an apron around her waist and a smile on her face. She will be sorely missed by all. The Funeral will begin on Thursday, June 16, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, with entombment following at Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum, 58 McLean Boulevard, Paterson, NJ. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
