Obituary of Mary Damiano

Mary A. Damiano (nee Arrabito) of Maywood, formerly of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 30th, 2022, at the age of 101. Mary retired at the age 84 from the city of Hackensack Police Department as a school crossing guard after serving for 15 years, prior to that she worked at Iurato's Bridal Shop in Hackensack for 25 years. She belonged to the Bergen County Senior Center for over 20 years. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Church, in Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late Charles A. Damiano (1992). Cherished mother of Maria Riehl and her husband James of Bluffton, South Carolina, Joseph Damiano and his wife Helen of Syracuse New York. Cherished grandmother of Anthony Riehl and his wife Heather, Eilleen Coll and her husband Brandon, Jessica Raimo and her husband Dominick, and Sean Damiano. Great grandmother of Julianna and Shane Riehl, Katerina and Rowan Coll and Robert (RJ) Raimo. Dearest sister of the late Josephine Stamilla, Anthony, John, and Sam Arrabito. Cherished aunt of Lucy Stamilla, Richard, Robert, and Alan Arrabito, Karen Pisano, the late John Arrabito, Joseph Stamilla, Antionette Castelluccio, and Margaret Maritsch. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and many friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi St, Hackensack, on Monday December 5, 2022, with burial following at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack.
