He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Rene'e Cavalluzzi, and their German Shepherd Sade; cherished sister Amy Roman & husband Gene Roman, who was more of a Big Brother; mother and father-in-law, Eddie & Gloria Leuck, (12) nieces, (19) nephews, (4) great nieces, (2) great-nephews with another due in May, (4) sisters-in-law, and (5) additional brothers-in-law; an unbelievable amount of cousins and friends, aunts and uncles. After high school, he became a South Hackensack police officer and part-time landscaper. A short time later, John left the police force and started landscaping full-time by becoming partners with one of his best friends, Robert Peccorato (aka Bobby Pec). After a few years, John started his own business, Summit Landscaping, which he successfully ran for 40+ years. In 2021, he sold his business, retired, and relocated to Toms River, NJ, to a house on a lagoon that he considered his Paradise. His favorite passions in life were making & saving money, playing cards, smoking cigars, enjoying his boat/jet skis, and relaxing by the pool with family & friends. He loved nothing more than watching everyone truly enjoying themselves. John was exceptional in math; he could quickly add anything in his head without paper and pencil. He loved meeting up with his buddies every morning at Pompei. He was passionate and a little obsessed with decorating his home with outdoor lighting. Family & friends were so important to him. John had no regrets and did it his way to the very end. He will be deeply missed and loved by all.
