Obituary of Nancy Romano

Nancy Romano (nee Lisa) of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the age of 79. Prior to retiring Nancy worked as a seamstress for various coat factories. After retiring she devoted her life to raising all her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Hackensack. Beloved wife of 49 years to the late Mario Romano (2015). Loving mother of Rosina Romano, Antoinette Romano and Saverino Romano and his wife Johanna. Cherished grandmother of David Pelli, Dominick Giaquinto, Savannah Romano and Sophia Romano. Dearest sister of Vincent Lisa and his wife Josephine, Carmela Lisa, Nina Porfiri and her late husband Frank and the late Francesca Lepre, Gelsomina Petrizzo and Maria Caporrino. Nancy is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. The Funeral will begin on Thursday December 22, 2022, at 9:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack at 11:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation.
