Obituary of William M. Geraghty

William 'Bill' Michael Geraghty, 78, of River Edge, NJ passed away on Monday, April 17th, 2023, in Oradell, NJ. William was born in the Bronx, New York to Peter J. & Bridget Marie on 12/9/44. He attended Cardinal Hayes High School and graduated in 1963. He went on to earn a BA degree from Fordham University and also served as a U.S.Marine. He worked as a salesman for Lee Loi Inc. at Hunts Point Market in the Bronx for 16 Years & he also worked as a Banker for Banker's Trust in New York for 15 Years. A Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, & Uncle, He enjoyed spending quality time with his Loving Family & Dear Friends above all else. William is survived by his wife, Esmeralda 'Amy' Geraghty (nee Guzman) of River Edge, NJ. Kerry Ann (daughter), Christopher Michael (son), Jordyn Marie (granddaughter), Catherine Cannizzo (sister), Mary T. Geraghty (sister), Jean Geraghty (sister-in-law), Jane Witz (sister-in-law), Kate Geraghty (niece) & John 'Jack' (great nephew). He is preceded in death by John M. (Brother), Ann Marie (sister), Peter J., Jr. (brother), Kyle William (grandson). Visitation will be held at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home on Friday, April 21st from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 -9:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday April 22 12noon at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation, to an organization of your choice in the name of William M. Geraghty.
