Obituary of Anthony Cavallo

Anthony Cavallo, a lifelong resident of Hackensack, NJ, passed away peacefully in Hollywood, Florida on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the age of 91 years. In his former years, he was an avid semi-pro softball pitcher that played in various leagues throughout NJ. Prior to retiring, he was a Sales Manager at Sargent Chevrolet in North Arlington, NJ. He also worked Security at The Meadowland's Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ and was an Elementary School Teacher for the Newark Public School System. Anthony proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War, was an avid member of the Hackensack Troast Athletic Club, and an active parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church in Hackensack, NJ. Beloved husband for 59 years to Patricia E. Shenego. Loving father of Anthony, Kevin, Ralph and Laurie. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Daniel, Ethan, Gianni & Nico. Dearest father in law to Roseanne and Heather. Dearest brother to Michael, Frank, Angelina, Sophie and Helen. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation at G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Funeral will begin on Wednesday, April 26, at 8:45 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, with entombment following at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack.
