Obituary of Theodore G. Dec

Theodore G. "Ted" Dec, 73 of Maywood, passed away peacefully on Friday June 30, 2023, with his family by his bedside. Prior to retiring he worked for the Archdiocese of Newark as a Plant Manager for over 25 years, he also worked as a Sexton for Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack for many years. Ted loved watching football and was an Avid New York Giants and USA Women's Soccer team fan, He loved spending time at home with his family and friends, especially family parties, Manasquan house, the beach, the card games and our group vacations were all special memories for him. He will surely be missed by all family and friends. Beloved husband of Margie M. (nee English) for 35 years. Loving father of Ted Dec of Maywood and Dearest brother of the late Marion Wentling. The Funeral will begin from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, on Friday, July 7th, at 9:45 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave., Hackensack at 11:00 AM. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6th from 4 - 8 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
