Obituary of Phyllis A Casisa

Phyllis Ann Casisa (nee Parinello), 83, of Maywood, New Jersey, passed away on January 8th, 2024. Phyllis was born in Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey to Josephine and Anthony Parinello on November 4th, 1940. She went to high school at Sacred Heart Academy and graduated in 1957. Prior to retiring, Phyllis worked as a Loan Counselor for Visions Credit Union (previously known as Paragon FCU and East Bergen Teacher's CU). She enjoyed creating homemade crafts, baking her mom's recipes and spending time with her family. She was also an avid traveler fulfilling her dreams of traveling to Italy and Hawaii. Phyllis is survived by her husband John, of Maywood and her brother Anthony Parinello and his wife, Teri of Carlsbad, CA. Beloved Mother to Susan Greenspan (nee Casisa) and her husband Mark, of Bergenfield; John Casisa and his fiance Anna Karalis, of Somerset; Michael Casisa of Virginia Beach, VA. Cherished Nana/Meema/Grandma to Alyssa, Steven, Anthony, Nicholas, Kristina, Cristy, Chelsea, and Ryan. Great Grandmother to Josephine, Eleanor and Joseph. She is preceded in death by her Parents and her beloved brother, Al. A Memorial Service will be held at G Thomas Gentile Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm.
