Martina Vargas, affectionately known as Milagros to her loved ones, passed away on May 5, 2024, at the age of 63. She was born on July 7, 1960, in Yamasá, Dominican Republic, and most recently resided in Hackensack, NJ. Martina had a zest for life and cherished spending time with her family above all else. She had a deep love for her husband, Alejandro Vargas, and together they built a life filled with love and joy. Martina was a devoted mother to her children, Daniel and Alexandra Vargas, who meant the world to her. And devoted sister to Fior De La Cruz, Catalina De La Cruz. Graciela De La Cruz, Pasqual De La Cruz, Julio De La Cruz, Ramierez De La Cruz and Eia De La Cruz. In her free time, Martina enjoyed spending time with her family, connecting with old friends, swimming at the beaches and lending a helping hand to those in need. Her kind and compassionate nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she often engaged in charitable acts and regularly attended church services on Sundays at St. Francis Church in Hackensack, NJ. Martina's selflessness and dedication to serving others were truly remarkable. Martina had a passion for culinary delights and relished in the flavors of paella, sancocho, arroz con habichuela, pupusa, lobster tail, and churasco. Her musical tastes were best exemplified by her admiration for Benny Cepeda, a favorite band and musical artist. Martina was a business owner in the Dominican Republic during her young adult years, and also worked as a bus driver throughout her career. Her dedication to her work and the people she served left a lasting impact on those who crossed her path. A devout Catholic, Martina's faith was an integral part of her life and provided her with strength and guidance. She found solace in her spiritual beliefs and attended church regularly, seeking comfort and peace. Martina Vargas will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering love, compassion, and generosity will forever be cherished and serve as an inspiration to those who follow in her footsteps. May she rest in eternal peace.
