Obituary of Jose Ramon Guillen

Jose Ramon (Tobias) Guillen passed away on May 11th, 2024 at the age of 94 in Dumont, NJ. He was born in Hato Mayor del Rey, Dominican Republic on March 19, 1930. He is survived by his wife, ten (10) children, and numerous (great) grandchildren. Our beloved Tobias was a wonderful husband, father, (great) grandfather, and a friend to all. He was a righteous person who lived an honest life centered around kindness, affection and respect for all. Tobias was friendly, loving, and to know him was to know laughter and joy; he never took life too seriously and always saw the best in others. In his free time Tobias enjoyed music, dancing, being adventurous and engaging in good mischief, and fun, in which all his family and friends were able to join in and equally enjoy. Herbal and homeopathic remedies were his passion, and Tobias was always open to sharing his knowledge with others and being "natural". Loved by all who knew him, Jose Ramon (Tobias) Guillen, will be remembered by his family and friends as the amazing person that he was. His funeral will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 15th at G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service (397 Union Street, Hackensack, New Jersey, 07601) and he will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Park Cemetery (535 Hudson St, Hackensack, NJ 07601). A viewing will be held from 4pm-8pm on Tuesday, May 14th at G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home (397 Union Street, Hackensack, New Jersey, 07601).
