Obituary of Manuel Rivera Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Manny Rivera, age 54, of Hackensack, New Jersey. Manny left us on June 11, 2024. Manny was born on March 18, 1970, in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico. Though he only resided in his birthplace for 45 days, his parents moved to New Jersey. His Puerto Rican roots were a cherished part of his identity. He carried the warmth and spirit of his heritage with him throughout his life. Manny is survived by his loving parents, Manuel and Isabel Rivera, and his brother Richie. Manny's resilience and strength shone through, inspiring all who knew him. He is also survived by his cherished daughters, Gi-Gi and Mimi, who were the pride and joy of his life. Manny's love for his daughters was boundless, and he found immense happiness in their accomplishments and dreams. He also leaves behind his devoted fiancée, Doris, whose unwavering support and love were a constant source of comfort to him. An uncle and a loyal friend, Manny's kindness extended beyond his immediate family. His generosity and warmth touched the lives of many, creating lasting bonds and treasured memories. Manny's passions were as vibrant as his personality. His love for the New York Giants was legendary, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer for his favorite team. Sundays spent watching football with friends and family were some of his happiest moments. In addition to his love for sports, Manny had an enduring passion for sports cars. He could often be found admiring the sleek lines and powerful engines of his favorite vehicles, sharing his enthusiasm with fellow car enthusiasts. Manny Rivera's life was a testament to love, loyalty, and joy. He lived with a heart full of passion, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who had the honor of knowing him. Though he has left us too soon, his spirit and the love he shared will remain with us always. Rest in peace, dear Manny. Your legacy of love, laughter, and passion will continue to inspire us.
