Maureen A. Blei (nee Gleason), 79 of Rock Tavern, NY, formerly of Maywood, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Prior to retiring she Co-owned and operated Shear Delight Salon in Maywood for 25 years with Teri Jordan and Kathy Gaige. She was a parishioner of The Church of St. Anne, Fairlawn, NJ. Beloved husband of 45 years to Paul E. Blei. Devoted mother of Norman Vitale and his wife Kim, Scott Vitale and his wife Kiawa, Judy Vigorita and her husband Louis, Cathy Petrie and her husband Ken and Tracy Kohrs and her husband Neil and the late Paul Blei Jr. and his surviving wife Suzie. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 18. Dearest sister of Kevin Gleason and his wife Patty and the late Jimmy Gleason. Maureen is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. She will be truly missed by all. The Funeral will begin on Monday July 8th, at 8:15 AM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM at St. Anne's R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fairlawn, immediately followed by burial at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 7th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
