On September 10, 2024, Anna Katherine (Morello) Gentile got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 101 years old. Born in Albany, NY, and she was married in our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Astoria, Queens before she lived in North Bergen, New Milford and Fairview NJ. Kay, as she was known, lived a full life. She loved cooking, baking, and especially having Sunday dinners with her family. One of Kay's favorite things was crocheting and knitting. She lovingly spent countless hours making beautiful blankets for her family and friends. Kay is survived by her sons, Louis (Carol) and Bruce (Josephine), her grandsons Ramon and John, and 6 great-grandchildren. Kay is predeceased by her daughter Rosemary and her beloved husband Salvatore. While her family grieves their loss they take comfort in knowing that Kay and Sal, along with Rosemary, are together again. The Funeral will begin on Monday, September 16, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave. Hackensack, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
