Obituary of Rosa Stefano

Rosa Stefano (nee Romano) of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the age of 78 years. Born in Monte San Giacomo, Salerno, Italy she came to the United States in 1966 and settled in Jersey City before moving to So. Hackensack in 1978. Prior to retiring she owned and operated Hero Heaven in Lyndhurst for years and co-owned and dedicated her time operating Pompei Little Market in South Hackensack alongside her husband. She was devoted to her faith and the Blessed Mother. A parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church & service to the Moste San Giacomo Women's Club. Loving wife of Pasquale Stefano for 57 years. Devoted mother of Vincent and his wife Evelyn, Giovanni Mario & his wife Vincenza. Cherished grandmother of Pasquale, Michelina, Isabella, Pietro & Ava Rose. Dearest sister of Francesca Sari and her husband Antonio and brother Angelo Romano. Caretaker to her parents, siblings, nieces & nephews, Rosa is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews & friends in both USA & Italy. The Funeral will begin on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29th, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
