William J. Smith Sr. peacefully passed away on Monday, November 25th, 2024 at the age of 82. Prior to retiring William worked in the Custodial Department for Lydecker Manor in Maywood, prior he retired as a firefighter for the City of New York. Beloved husband to Anna B. Smith for over 40 years. Devoted father of William M. Smith Jr. Dearest brother of to the late Charles F. Smith. The family will receive friends on Monday morning, December 2, 2024, from 9:00AM - 11:00AM for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. A prayer service will be held 11:15 AM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ.
