Obituary of Craig M. Parrella

Craig Parrella, 48 of Hamburg, NJ formerly of Vernon, NJ and Hackensack, NJ passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. Craig worked as a Title Officer for Olde School Title of Nutley, NJ after retiring as a Police Officer from the Upper Saddle River Police Department, in Upper Saddle River, NJ. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a member of P.B.A. Local #218. Craig was a talented musician with a passion for music, he loved nature, hiking, quadding & boating at the lake house with family & friends. Craig enjoyed making other people smile & had the best sense of humor. His favorite thing was just sitting around the fire with his best friends, smoking BBQ. Beloved husband to Lauren A. (nee Shaw) for 5 years. Devoted son of Linda A. Kunzweiler and her late husband Richard (2024). Richard L. Parrella and his wife Bernice, and Devoted father of Emilie and Justin Parrella. Dearest brother of Kristen Haenelt and her husband David, Jessica Parrella and her fiancé Kevin and Anthony Parrella. Craig is also survived by his mother and father-in-laws Alex and Lori Shaw and sister and brother-in-laws Kristen and Corey Stevens, his two best friends Brian Hoehl and Brian Matchok, numerous nieces and nephews and his two fur babies Kirra and Duke. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 28th, 2024, from 2:00 - 6:00 PM for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack, with a prayer service beginning at 3:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
