Obituary of Matilda J. Vasak

MATILDA J. BRAUN VASAK , of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Hackensack University Medical Center, at the age of 92 years. Prior to retiring, she worked as a switchboard operator for General Chemical Company of New York. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late William J. Vasak. Devoted mother of William C. Vasak and his wife Hazel of Teaneck, Mary Anne Turk and her husband Jim of Maywood, and Robert T. Vasak of Hackensack. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Anne Turk. Dearest sister of Chris Crane of Arizona, Joseph Braun and his wife Marie of Little Ferry, and the late Margaret Voorhis, Julianna Braun, and Charles Braun. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 13th, at 10:00 AM, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception with burial following at Maple Grove Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be appreciated.
