Obituary of Viola Walker

VIOLA WALKER (nee Ambrosino), formerly of Maywood, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the Oradell Health Care Center at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her four children: John (and Elizabeth) Vivenzio of Maywood; Karen (and Bill) Bidding of Pringle, PA; William (and Elizabeth) Walker of Hackensack; and Donna Walker of Lodi. She is also survived by four grandchildren: her beloved Diana (and Rolando), as well as Andrew, David (and Amanda) and Lauren, plus three great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her former spouse William F. Walker and by her loving friend, Carl Minotti. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to NJ in 1991. Vi volunteered countless hours in hospital nurseries taking care of newborns. She enjoyed cooking Italian specialties for her loved ones and laughing with them at family gatherings. She also loved swaying to the music of the famous crooners from the Big Band era. The funeral on Saturday, May 26th, at 9:00 AM, from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack at 10:00 AM with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
