PHYLLIS T. GAMBUTI WEISS , of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at the age of 85 years. Prior to retiring, she was a secretary for Hekemian and Co. of Hackensack. Previously she was a secretary for People's Trust Company of Hackensack. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Hackensack where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxilary of the South Hackensack Ambulance Corp, the South Hackensack Seniors, and the Columbiettes of Trinity Council # 747 of Hackensack. Beloved wife of the late George Weiss. Devoted mother of Deborah Tilstra and her husband Craig of South Hackensack, and James Weiss and his wife Sophia of Saddle Brook. Cherished grandmother of Philip, Daniel, Courtney, Kimberly, Emily, and James Jr. Dearest sister of Patrick Gambuti and his wife Sandy of Fort Lee. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3rd, at 9:30 AM, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Church, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visiting will be on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
