Obituary of Anthony Zisa
Anthony "Tony" Zisa Sr., of Hackensack, died on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at the age of 89 years. He was born in Hackensack and was a lifelong resident. Prior to retiring in 1981, he was a butcher for Acme Supermarkets and was a member of Local # 245 of the Meat Cutters Union of Totowa. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a life member of the American Legion Post # 55 of Hackensack. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. He is survived by his wife Angelina Pelligra Zisa. his children, Frances Zisa of Hackensack, and Anthony and Gail Zisa of Hackensack, and his grandchildren, Diane, Michael, and Joseph. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 26th, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack. Entombment will follow at Hackensack Cemetery. Visiting will be on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 would be appreciated.
