Obituary of Carol A. Romaine

Carol A. Claffey Romaine, of Hackensack, died on Friday, April 13, 2007, at the age of 60 years. Before retiring in 2005, she was a waitress for Rudy’s Restaurant in Hackensack for 16 Years. Previously, she worked as a waitress for the Charlemaree Restaurant and Tavern in Hackensack for 10 years. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hackensack B.P.O.E. Lodge # 658, and a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church , Hackensack . Predeceased by her husband, the late Gerard “Jerry” Romaine who died in 2002, and a brother John Claffey, she is survived by her daughter, Joanne Byrnes and her husband Kevin of Rochelle Park, her son, William Beck and his wife Tina of Rochelle Park, her grandchildren Caitlin, Jenna, Alex, Danielle and Emily, her sisters and brothers, Barbara Perlongo, Lillian Ouellette, James Claffey, Edith Claffey, Lawrence Claffey, Jacqueline Claffey, Doris Carrick, Joan Steen, Kathleen Dillulio, and Robert Claffey, several nieces, nephews and many close friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, April 17th at 10 AM, at Holy Trinity R.C. Church , 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus . Visiting will be on Monday from 2 – 5 and 7 - 9 PM. Memorial donations to Hackensack University Medical Center Inpatient Hospice, 25 East Salem Street , Hackensack , NJ 07601 would be appreciated.
