Obituary of Salvatore Conti

SALVAATORE "TOTO" CONTI of Hackensack . died on Wednesday October 15, 2008 at the age of 80 years. Born in Palermo , Sicily , he came to the United States in 1967. While in Italy he worked for Texaco Oil Company where he traveled all over the world. After moving to the U.S. he owned Italcasa Imports, in Hackensack . He loved to cook, tend to his garden and had a love for boats. He spent many winters making wooden model ships and was also a big fan of the Italian champion soccer teams. Beloved husband for 52 years of Concetta (nee Randazzo). Devoted son of the late Vincenzo and Agata Conti. Loving father of Agatha A. Toomey and her husband Christopher of Hackensack, Maria Gervasi of South River , NJ , and Nancy A. Weuste and her husband Marc of Paramus. Cherished grandfather of Frank T., John S., Nikolas A., Kaitlyn E, and Ashley E. Dearest brother of the late Gioachino and Giuseppe Conti. Salvatore also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends. The The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18th, at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street , Hackensack at 9:15 AM with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting will be on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM.
