Obituary of William R. Davies

WILLIAM R. DAVIES SR., of Hackensack, died on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at the age of 73 years. He was born in Fair Lawn and prior to retiring he was a truck dispatcher and driver for Teamsters Local # 560 of Union City. He was a volunteer and fund raiser for P.B.A. # 1 of Paterson and P.B.A. # 9 of Hackensack and the New Jersey Honor Legion. He was also a volunteer for the Hackensack Food Shelter and Care One at Wellington Hall. Husband of Dolores M. (nee Criscifelli), devoted father of Dawn M. Davies of Clifton, William R. Davies Jr. of Addison, Illinois, Alicia Davies of Paramus and the late Laura Davies, loving grandfather of Nicholas, Craig, Katie, Matthew and Kelly, great grandfather of Jacob, special friend to Lely and Thomas Eastwick. He was predeceased by five brothers and sisters. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 17th, at 2:45 PM, Reverend Brian H. Laffler officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
