Obituary of Benedetta Argenio
Benedetta "Bertha" Argenio, of Toms River, formerly of Hackensack, died on Sunday, September 10, 2006, at the Manchester Manor Nursing Home in Manchester, after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure, at the age of 88 years. Prior to retiring, she had worked for more than twenty years as a dental technician for Trudent Lab Company in Waldwick. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Episcopal Church of Hackensack, where she served as President of the Altar Guild, member of the St. Anthony Vestry, member of the Ladies Guild and member of the Choir. She also was a volunteer night school instructor in Hackensack. Predeceased by her parents Pasquale and Christina Spagnuolo Argenio, and three sisters, Mary Argenio, Patricia Masucci, and Frances Spagnuolo, she is survived by two brothers, Louis Argenio and his wife Dot of Toms River, Al Argenio and his wife Agnes of Vermont, and two sisters, Jean Vader Vleit and Rose Caster both of Manchester and 15 nieces and nephews. The Mass of Requiem will be offered at St. Anthony of Paduca Episcopal Church, 72 Lodi Street, Hackensack, on Saturday, September 16th at 10:00 AM, Reverend Brian H. Laffler, SSC officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack. Visiting will be on Friday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM. Memorial donations to St. Anthony of Padua Episcopal Church, 72 Lodi Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be appreciated.
